What an exciting day when an amazingly talented photographer asks you to take her lifestyle newborn photos! As a photographer, we aim to capture our own children more than anything, but it is terribly hard to get your own family ready, set up a tripod, and attempt to get those images yourself! We all need a little help from our photog-friends! And thank God we have such an awesome community of photographers in this area. We all strive to be creatives together here—I am honored to be a part of that community.

Ashley and her family are not only gorgeous in photographs, but they are kind, laid back people who make you feel like you’re a part of the family from the moment you walk in the door.

One of my favorite parts of this session was the very last scene. Ashley wanted me to document her pumping, which turned out to be GORGEOUS in its raw beauty. So often we see nursing photos, but this was Mommy and Letty’s real life story. I am honored to be able to capture those moments and share them with you here.
